The 17th Annual Conference of the Greek Statistical Insitute took place in the island of Lefkada, Greece, from April 14-18, 2004. For more information, please visit the page of the conference.


The Israeli Biostatistical Forum which is part of the Eastern Mediterranean Region (EMR) of the International Biometric Society (IBS) together with the Israeli Statistical Association (ISA) sponsored an all day meeting entitled: "Methodological and Biostatistical Problems in Assessing environmental Hazards". Some of the presentations focused on the recent Report from the Commission of Enquiry into the Effects of Military Training of Divers in the River Kishon.

The conference took place on Wednesday December 10, 2003. Among the speakers were Professor Marvin Zelen (Harvard University), Professor Stephen Lagakos (Harvard University), Professor Laurence Freedman (Bar-Ilan University), and Dr Gadi Rennert Department (Carmel Medical Center and Technion Faculty of Medicine).

International Conference on Statistical Models for Biomedical and Technical Systems 29 - 31 May 2006, Limassol, Cyprus

The Conference provides the forum for presenting new statistical models and mathematical methods for Survival Analysis, the Reliability of Engineering and Technical Systems as well as the Reliability of Biological and Biomedical Systems. The Conference is organized by the University of Cyprus and the Seminaire Europeen - European Seminar "Methodes Mathematiques pour l' Analyse de Survie, Fiabilite et Qualite de Vie".
